Overall. Reviewed at HOKA ONE ONE. I've had the Bondi 8 for about a week and walked 42 miles so far. The one problem I experienced was the semi-gusseted tongue. I have a high arch and I underpronate. The tongue was pulling to one side which was causing pain in the instep area of my arch. I decided to cut the elastic to eliminate the "gusset".
HOKA has moved to a lighter EVA with the Bondi 8’s midsole and flared it out a bit to provide more stability during the run. That 37mm of stack is noticeable and while not as big as others that are now in the market, it still feels pretty big and ample enough to keep those legs comfortable during a longer run. The outsole still remains a mix

The heel grip is now built for a wider heel (see photo of Bondi 6,in purple v Bondi 7, in black. Laced correctly, my heel has slipped out of the Bondi 7.

Cushioning and Landing Comfort. Unsurprisingly, this metric is where the Bondi 8 earned a near-perfect score. With a stacked landing pad and plenty of cushion, the joint protection offered by the Bondi is top-notch. The Bondi 8 has a 6mm drop, with the heel sitting at a lofty 36mm and the toe sitting 30mm above the ground. . 354 92 454 224 418 510 477 315
