I am looking on getting a focus mk3.5 st-2 2.0 tdci,time for a change. I have seen a nice one for £14,989, 30k miles, 2015. Any good advice, pros and cons, thought any advice via forum would be more accurate. also quite tempted by the petrol as well. I do around 35 mile a day on motor way, currently use around £25 a week in diesel.

When the engine reaches its normal temp. an annoying ticking noise appears, more noticably inside the car, recently had a cam belt. and pulley change. I have tried a flush, oil and filter change with no joy.

Hi mate I had this issue with my focus mk2 1.8 tdci titianium engine light came on booted car reset code it stayed off for bit then came on again. ford told me egr was seized up needed new one. £800 WTF when can buy new for £120 on eBay .
I was looking into the engine bay of my 2007 1.8 tdci focus because of the oil leak I have on top of my transmission (will opean a separate thread for that) and thought I will just start a car and listen a bit how everything sounds.
