Another fluid may provide excellent protection, but cause seal shrinkage. If/when this happens the system will leak at some or all of the seals.

They gained 10-15 horsepower then they un-hammered their cars down to 2.0 or so, going from 125 to 140 HP or thereabouts. But that was with an antisocial smoke level.
