Here’s how to batch convert media files in VLC. Open VLC. Select Media and ‘Open multiple files’. Click Add and select all of the files you want to convert. Click the small down arrow next

The only thing I did discover a couple days ago is that if you then convert the mp4-that-is-supposed-to-be-an-mp3, THAT then becomes an mp3. But having to convert twice is annoying. Also I think the file size maybe on the large side. Like, other mp3 files I already had were like, half the size. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
