I attempted to clean the port as well as opened up the watch to see if the sensor looked OK. The sensor looked fine and I cleaned out the port. Neither of these things resolved the problem. Of course, I also tried a factory reset. My last resort is sending it to Garmin for repair, but I would image that would cost more than the watch is worth. Failing long press / hold / buttons on fenix 6x Pro. 4530037 over 3 years ago. Before my run, the UP (9 o'clock) and DOWN (8 o'clock) buttons work with long press (hold) to take me to the main menu and to music options, respectively. Towards the end of my run, both of these fail. Holding UP will activate the widget menu and just start scrolling

If the buttons are still responsive, hold the LIGHT button until it shuts off, then press it again to turn it back on. If the buttons are unresponsive, wait for the battery to drain, and then recharge it. Turn the watch back on and check the buttons for responsiveness.

I have tried a master reset holding all buttons, letting go of start at first beep, remaining buttons after second beep but the same thing. Garmin Connect can see the watch but I cannot set it into pairing mode. Pressing no to reset to default settings yo-yo's to the fenix screen and back to the reset screen.

System 5 will cover the same units, and again there will be some things that only work on 4.0.x hardware, and in 2022 there will be units which support the on-device app store, which won’t work on 3.2.x units or the current 4.0.x units. It is a bit confusing, not least that System 4 covers some 3.x.y units as well as 4.0.x!

Connect ok, The skip, fast forward , pause etc all work on the watch and On the earphones, but A/ they connect at a dangerously loud volume, and B/cannot be adjusted in the watch, only the earphones.
